The Honor Guard for the sheriff’s office is a true reflection of our commitment to professionalism and the honor we bestow on every law enforcement officer in this country. The members are used to present the colors at various events and to “stand guard” over the casket of a fallen officer or a member of the officer’s family. The Honor Guard trains in the traditional movements of a military honor guard, using standard commands for presenting and removing the flag. Their badge, collar brass, insignia and adornments are gold to reflect the achievement of being chosen for this coveted position.
Members of the Honor Guard are Deputy Kevin Harvancik, Lieutenant Brian Loos, Communications Sergeant Dawn Learned, Corrections Corporal Kevin Schultz, Sergeant Eric Krueger, Detective Michael Willmann, Corrections Officer Benjamin Plante and Deputy Justin Kontny.
