The mission of the Clerk of Circuit Court is to serve the citizens of Dodge County by providing superior justice support service and assistance to all court system participants in a timely, efficient and ethical manner, and to enhance public confidence in our justice system.
The office of the Clerk of Circuit Court is established by Wisconsin State Constitution and the Clerk is elected by the residents of Dodge County for a four year term. The Clerk maintains records of all documents filed with the court, keeps a record of court proceedings, and collects, disburses and reconciles monies related to court cases. The Clerk of Circuit Court is a key player in the implementation of court automation, has responsibility for jury management, and is fiscally responsible for millions of dollars in fees, fines and forfeitures paid through the clerk's office annually.
Additionally, Administrative Services staff coordinates and manage the safe-keeping of all funds ordered held in trust by the circuit court.
