Parking and access to the trail is available at:
- Hwy 60 Southern Trailhead Parking Lot (~1 mile east of Hwy 26)
- Hwy 33/26 Trail Parking Lot
- East Waupun Road/Shamrock Road Parking area (~ ½ mile south of Hwy 49)
The Dodge County ATV/UTV trail season runs from December 1 through March 31. Riding is only permitted during that time when the County has officially declared the trail open. The ATV/UTV trail can be opened if there is sufficient ground freeze or snow base to prevent damage to the trail surface.
In order to preserve these trails for future public use and enjoyment for all, please follow and obey all signs, stay on the designated trails, use courtesy and common sense and enjoy happy and safe trailing. No ATV/UTV use allowed on the adjacent horse trail or on the Dodge County snowmobile trails off the Wild Goose State Trail. Any soft areas that may exist on the trail must be avoided to prevent trail damage. Tire chains are prohibited on the trail at all times.

WHAT ABOUT UTVs (Utility Terrain Vehicles)?
Winter Trail season currently allows registered UTVs on the ATV/UTV trail subject to the same restrictions as ATV/UTVs.
WHAT IS A UTV?
"Utility-terrain vehicle" means a commercially designed and manufactured motor-driven device that is not a golf cart, low-speed vehicle, dune buggy, mini-truck, or tracked vehicle, that is designed to be used primarily off highway, and originally manufactured and equipped with all of the following: a weight, without fluids, of less than 2,000 pounds; four or more low-pressure tires or non-pneumatic tires; cargo box installed by the manufacturer; steering wheel; tail light; brake lights; two headlights; width of not more than 65 inches; seat belts; and roll bar or similar device designed to reduce the likelihood that an occupant would be crushed as the result of a rollover.
